Serving humanity by supporting the missions of the ManKind Project and its members

Creating Harmony and Justice in our Global Village

In Service to This Mission: We are an order of men called to reclaim the Sacred Masculine for our time through initiation, training, and action in the world.

Our global village of nearly six billion people needs all the help it can get from all of us.

e of the most urgent needs in our world today is to create unity and commitment to shared purpose and service among men across the great divides of culture, religion, race, economic status and nationality. The healing of our planet requires the healing of men! This task is urgent, critical and as compelling as today's searing international headlines.

The Mankind Project, as a global leader in masculine initiation, has shown remarkable success in helping men achieve inner peace and harmony within their families and communities.

The mission of The ManKind Foundation is to support the mission of The ManKind Project and its thousands of members.

To fulfill its function of supporting and accelerating the unity among men and their development as leaders of communities across the world, MKF has been intentionally created with a separate board of directors and a separate non-profit tax-exempt status from The Mankind Project.

The distinctive focus of the Foundation is essential. MKP is an initiatory and training organization. Our intent in forming The ManKind Foundation with the blessing and agreement of The Mankind Project is to create long term abundance and resources for our work across the world. Your tax-deductible gift will help advance one or more of the following arenas:

About The ManKind Foundation and the Chairman's Campaign

The ManKind Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit corporation which has taken on the task of financially securing the future of The ManKind Project. The Foundation serves MKP like a hospital foundation serves a hospital. Our goal is to have the Foundation handle fundraising so that MKP can provide the educational, training services, and support services it does best. All the men on the Foundation Board are New Warriors. All donations are tax-exempt to the full extent of the law.

What is the Chairman's Campaign and why a Phone-a-Thon?
In previous years, the MKP Chairman's Annual Campaign was a simple letter sent to many men within the Project asking for donations to the general fund. To create a more effective campaign this year the ManKind Foundation proposed a phone-a-thon. Most of the MKP Executive Committee, the ManKind Foundation Board of Directors, and a group of committed volunteers will be calling the weekend of November 19-21. Our goal is to contact all the MKP men in the US. With your support we can set the standard for Project fundraising in a good way, in keeping with the tradition of the kind of men we are.

How will the money raised in the Chairman's Campaign be used?
The first $15,000 goes to MKP for the general budget. This is about how much has been raised each of the last few years through our mailings. The balance goes to the Foundation to support a professional fundraising team for at least a year. They will work with the MKP and the Foundation to make our fundraising more effective and to find grants and donors outside MKP.

Many men in the Project have been asking if we can develop alternative funding sources so that we depend less on the Centers and on initiate tuition. Those of us on the Foundation believe this is one way to open that door.

What does MKP do for me?
There is an extensive list of all that MKP offers its members and Centers, available here in PDF format: MKP Services to Members

Does my Center get anything from this?
Yes, in the long run. If we can decrease our reliance on initiate tuition we hope to decrease tuition and provide reasonable stipends for Center Directors and Administrators.
